FAQ

What is ActorParlor?

ActorParlor was founded in November 2017 as the first-ever social and professional network for actors, performers, and individuals involved in the entertainment business to chat, connect, and create. However, much like one’s craft, the company has continually listened, adjusted, and evolved into the media platform we are today.

What began as a goal to further the interconnectivity of the acting profession soon developed into an online media platform dedicated to featuring actors and their stories, showcasing projects, attending and covering industry events, and increasing interconnectivity through shared experience.

It’s quite common to hear, “It’s a small world,” and, unsurprisingly, the entertainment business is even smaller. On the ActorParlor website and social media profiles, you’ll find interviews with both aspiring and veteran actors, features on films and productions with budgets in both the thousands and millions, recaps of exciting industry events, and insights from everyone and everything in-between.

If you’re an actor with a story to share, a question to ask, a joke to tell, or words of wisdom to impart, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re continually looking for actors to interview, and the simplest shared experience between an interviewee and reader can make all the difference in inspiring that reader to pursue their dreams.

Similarly, if you have a production, project, event, or another endeavor that you are interested in sharing, please do not hesitate to send it along.

How much does it cost to become a guest contributor, be featured, or have my event covered on the platform?

Currently, all platform functionality is entirely free of charge. Our goal is to publish interesting content, feature actors and entertainment industry professionals, showcase projects, attend and cover industry events, and increase interconnectivity through shared experience.

I love what you do. How can I support the platform?

Thank you! Our goal is to never require a subscription for our content. However, it is certainly true that this leads to substantial costs. Our readers and followers can support the platform through our Patreon page, through which individuals can make one-off or monthly contributions. In doing so, you’ll support our continued growth.

Do you produce shows and films? Can you fund my project?
